Marijuana masses meet at Vic Cannabis Convention

The smell of sweet skunk and sounds of cannabis coughing were tell-tale clues for the location of the 11th-annual Victoria Cannabis Convention.

Many members of Victoria’s cannabis community gathered this past Sunday, Feb. 28, in UVic’s David Strong Building, to celebrate and educate people about marijuana’s benefits.

Decriminalization or Legalization of Drugs

Writing in the Toronto Star’s June 3, 2009, issue, Victoria police officer David Bratzer cites “public disorder, backlogged courts, high property crime rates, organized crime and gang violence over control of the drug trade” to try to awake the public to realize that “these costs are not worth an absolute prohibition on drug use in our society”.

Victoria: Cannabis Buyers Club (CBC) Bakery raided!

Victoria, B.C.: The Cannabis Buyers' Club of Canada had its baking location raided today at 3:45 pm.

One person was arrested.

The Cannabis Buyers' Clubs of Canada have been supplying medical cannabis to people with permanent physical disabilities or diseases for 14 years.

Until today the club offered 29 different edible and topical preparations to about 3,000 sick people.

The Cannabis Buyers' Club of Canada will be holding a press conference at 826 Johnson St., Victoria on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 11am.
